How does our Azure AZ-900 course work?
1. Prepare with Confidence
2. Get an Exam Voucher
3. Boost Your Resume
What is an exam voucher?
An exam voucher is a prepaid code that covers your certification exam fee. You’ll enter it when scheduling with the official testing provider. Each voucher is tied to a specific exam and usually comes with an expiration date.
How do I use my exam voucher?
After purchasing your exam voucher, log in to your certification provider’s website to schedule your exam. When prompted for payment, enter your voucher code. You’ll receive confirmation and instructions once it’s scheduled. You can take the exam online or at a testing center.
Cloud is where the growth is
AZ-900 won’t get you hired on its own — no fundamentals certification does. What it gives you is credible entry into an ecosystem that’s growing faster than almost anything else in IT.

Your foundation, not your finish line
AZ-900 has no prerequisites and is Microsoft’s own recommended starting point before role-based certifications like AZ-104 (Administrator) or AZ-500 (Security Engineer) — the ones employers actually name in job postings.
Where AZ-900 fits in your path
It’s the first rung, not the whole ladder — here’s how it typically connects to real roles.
IT support / helpdesk with cloud exposure
Many IT support and helpdesk professionals already work around Azure daily without a formal credential. AZ-900 closes that gap and makes your existing experience legible to employers.
Junior Cloud Administrator track
AZ-900 builds the conceptual base for the Azure Administrator path. Combined with hands-on practice, it’s the usual first step toward the AZ-104 exam, which employers do actively request.
Specialize: Administrator, Developer, or Security Engineer
From here, AZ-104, AZ-204, or AZ-500 point toward distinct roles — cloud infrastructure, application development, or cloud security — all built on the same foundational vocabulary AZ-900 gives you.
Career progression depends on the role-based certifications and experience you build after AZ-900, not the fundamentals exam alone.
What AZ-900 actually tests
Three skill areas, each with an official weighting range — as published on Microsoft Learn.
- Describe cloud concepts 25–30%
- Describe Azure architecture and services 35–40%
- Describe Azure management and governance 30–35%
